Come enjoy the beautiful waters of Eastern Passage! Explore Fisherman's Cove, McCormick's beach, Lawlor's Island, and the old forts of McNab's Island! Keep your eyes peeled for eagles, osprey, deer, seals and porpoise!
McNab's Island excursion
$40 per person
Paddle to McNabs Island and explore old forts, walk hangman's beach, and see abandoned houses. Keep an eye out for wildlife on the sea and the island! Tour lasts about 4 hours. The first hour is mostly paddling, then two hours to explore the island, and then the paddle back to the mainland.
Landfall on Wreck Cove, McNabs Island is 1 nautical mile away.
Recommend bringing: Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, change of clothes, warm clothes for on the water.
Fisherman's cove
excursion
$20 per person
A leisurly 20 minute paddle down to Fisherman's Cove as we navigate past numerous colourful fishing boats. If tides allow, we will paddle under the bridge and tour the pond.
If requested, ice cream stops are highly recommended. On our way back to base, we will paddle along McCormick's beach and take a quick cruise to the cove in Lawlor's Island. This tour will take approximately an 1.5 hours.
Distance to Fisherman's Cove and back is approx. 1 nautical mile.
Recommend bringing: Sunglasses, hat, sunscreen, change of clothes, warm clothes for on the water.

Paddle from Eastern Passage to George's Island in the heart of Halifax Harbour. A British fort, Acadian prisoners and ghosts! Tour lasts about 5 hours. The first hour and a half is paddling to the island, then an hour to tour the fort, and then another hour and a half paddle back to Eastern Passage.
Distance to George's Island is 3 nautical miles from Eastern Passage.

Rental Boat Safety
At Wreck Cove Row Boats, our goal is for you and your family/friends to enjoy a safe and fun adventure in the harbor and on the islands!
❗️Dory and Kayak rentals limited to persons 16 and older. Under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.
❗️For your safety, all renters responsible for operating the rental boat must complete a safety briefing & kayak safety rental checklist before leaving shore!
❗️Life jackets are provided and everyone is required to wear one! We supply all required safety equipment for each type of boat, with each rental. We regularly check and maintain the condition of all our rental boats and safety equipment.
❗️At least one person per group must have a cell phone. If you are paddling alone you must have a cell phone.
In the case of emergency call 911! Call *16 or #16 service to place a distress call directly to the Canadian Coast Guard Communications and Traffic Services!
